Life in Fire

There is Life in Fire.

Where there was cold that kept life down,
where there was dirt and rock and stone
When Life was kept in a prison gown,
Fire let her make the world her own

Then the earth writhed
And the seas churned
And the air twisted
And the skies turned

And Fire asked for nothing from Life
For Fire only wanted change
Life gave Fire the greatest gift
She gave fire chaotic flame

And so it was that fire
Burning ever higher
Gained all it had sought:
Of change it was now wrought.
